Today’s article ‘Star war: on Kamal, Rajinikanth entering politics‘ has been picked from ‘The Hindu’

This article talks about Tamilnadu’s current political arena.The article says the actor-politicians Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth will have to fight for their share from the rest of the pie i.e. AIADMK’s vote bank as Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan are contesting to fill the same political space in Tamilnadu.

Meaning –

Meaning –  
expressing oneself clearly/express (an idea or feeling) fluently and coherently.
Synonyms – express,  communicate,  state, set forth,  assert, divulge
Antonyms–  inarticulate, hesitant, unintelligible
Example –  
The president is known for his ability to articulate his thoughts in front of millions of people.

3)Joust (verb)   (लड़ाई):  just
Meaning –  
compete closely for superiority.
Synonyms – combat, contest, fight.
– accord,compliance,affinity
Example –
awyers joust in the courtroom to win the case.

4)Forthright (adjective) (निष्कपट):  forth-rit
Meaning –  
direct and honest/(of a person or their manner or speech) direct and outspoken.
Synonyms –  frank, direct, straightforward, honest, candid, open, sincere
– secretivedishonest
If you are not forthright when answering the detective’s questions, you might end up in jail.

5)Inevitably (adverb)   (अनिवार्य रूप से):  in-evi-tably
Meaning –  
certain to happen, unavoidably
Synonyms –  naturally, automatically,  inescapably, unavoidably, ineluctably, certainly, surely, definitely
– avoidably, uncertainty
Example –  
Inevitably we will all die regardless of our financial situations.

6)Vague (adjective)  (अस्पष्ट):   way-g
Meaning –  
not described well,of uncertain, indefinite, or unclear character or meaning.
Synonyms –  indistinct, indeterminate, unclear
–  clear, precise, firm, sharpness
Example –
 was so disappointed with the fortuneteller’s vague prediction that he asked for his money to be returned.

7)Sidelight (noun)  (आकस्मिक जानकारी का एक हिस्सा जो किसी विषय को स्पष्ट या सजीव करने में मदद करे ):   side-liet
Meaning – 
a piece of incidental information that helps to clarify or enliven a subject.
Example –
ne has to wade through pages of extraneous material in order to discover these sidelights on the management of an estate.

8)Averse (adjective)  (प्रतिकूल):  aver-s
Meaning –  
having a strong dislike of or opposition to something/actively not liking something
Synonyms –opposed to, against, antipathetic to, hostile to, antagonistic to
– keen, enthusiast
Example – 
Because I am averse to risk, I never go to adventurous trips.
